Welcome to Simon Coope Karate School.

On behalf of the club I would like to welcome you to our web site and provide you with some information about our activities. The club provides opportunities for young at heart people between the ages of 5 years and 75 to receive instruction in traditional Karate and also for those who wish Kata and Kumite (fighting) competition. All coaching is by qualified coaches who are trained and have been screened for their suitability for working with young people.

The club is presently applying for Sport England's Clubmark, which is awarded to clubs by National Governing Bodies when the club is able to demonstrate that it meets the NGBs criteria as to its training and competition programme; safeguarding and protecting children; sports equity and ethics and club management. Clubmark is an acknowledgement that we take these issues seriously and that we are striving to provide a high quality and welcoming environment for young participants in the sport.

We welcome parents to all training, gradings and competitions and value your support.
